RIP Ricardo Montalban
Rest in peace. I'm reminded of the classic prank phone calls that Kidd Chris made to George Takei posing as Ricardo which were instant classics.

The Mystery of 1-15 (Kidd Chris related)

Well we're 3 days away from 1-15 which is the date that Kidd Chris conspiracy theorists have debated that we'll hear at least something from Chris regarding his future (I don't think he's coming back in any form for a long long time, but that's neither here nor there). As you can see from the above image the two "I's" are the number 1 and the letter "S" is the number 5. I'm fully expecting a full scale prank on 1-15 from Chris and I hope it's good.

Kidd Chris 24 hours of Comedy
Kidd Chris has an audio stream going on his website with comedy from Open Mike, Snake, and Chainsaw. Warning, it's not work safe, so be careful. It's comedy so bad it's funny.
Listening to Old Kidd Chris Stuff
I listened to some old Kidd Chris stuff this morning on my IPod and it's just made me sad all over again. I hope the show comes back somewhere soon. Hopefully in 2009, we'll see the return on the crew. The Guido Hat, the Squid, Graffiti, all of it is missed.

Forget about Kidd Chris to Sirius XM
Bubba signed a new 2 year contract to remain on H101, so that leaves Kidd Chris out of the loop. I miss the show quite a lot and can't wait to hear some sort of announcement, but I'm guessing it will be a long time before we hear the show again. Until then, I'll just keep listening to Opie and Anthony and Howard.

Letter I just sent to Tim Sabean regarding Kidd Chris
Here's the text of a letter I just fired off to Tim Sabean (program director of H100 and H101). If you'd like to email him yourself, here's him email address. Let's let him know that we want Kidd Chris in 2009.
Timsabean@sirius-radio.com
Tim Sabean:Is there any chance that we can get Kidd Chris on 101 if Bubba goes away? There's quite a few Kidd Chris fans around the country who felt that he got the shaft from CBS Radio and would love to hear him uncensored on Sirius-XM. Please consider Kidd Chris at the very least. I know that you hired him in Philly before making the move to Howard's channels and we know that Howard has a great deal of respect for Kidd Chris. I feel that Kidd Chris is at the very least, close to Howard Stern show wise and would garner huge respect and gain a huge audience by being on Sirius.Thank you for taking the time to read this. It's much appreciated on my part

6 months without Kidd Chris
We've gone a bit over 6 months without Kidd Chris. I've been listening to Big O and Dukes, Howard Stern, and a bit of Opie and Anthony, but none of them are as good as the Kidd Chris Show. I'm hopeful that we'll hear something soon about the gangs' future. I hope 2009 will be the year of Kidd Chris. Come on Tim Sabian, get it done. Kidd Chris for Sirius-XM in 2009.

More thoughts on Bubba the Love Sponge
I'm hopeful that tomorrow's announcement is that Bubba is leaving Sirius XM. I've never been a fan of Bubba's. He reminded me a lot of a televangelist bitching about money and about his contract and hawking his silly BTLS merchandise. I'll be glad to see him go. Bubba was a bit of a novelty when I first got Satellite radio. I listened to him for a few days and then occasionally flipped over when Howard was in commercial. Good luck to Bubba if this is the end of Sirius XM. He'll be off regular radio for doing something stupid in a matter of time. I'm not sure why you'd give up a nationwide audience to be local, but to each his own. This just clears the way for someone like Kidd Chris or Phil Hendrie to step into his place.

Back into the swing of things
It's nice to see Kidd Chris is still blogging. I hope the layoff is over soon. I listened to the Best of Shows from last year and they're still as funny as ever. On the right is a link to the Kidd Chris Blog, feel free to click and check it out.
Let's go Rays. It's been nice to see the Rays do as well as they have and I'm hoping they can take down the mighty Red Sox soon. I'd love to see the small market team with one of the lower payrolls in MLB not only make the World Series but win it as well.
FIFA is out tomorrow and I cannot wait. I'll try and return West Ham United, Celtic, Lyon, and Borussia Dortmund to the top of their tables (at least virtually). I'll be skipping PES this year as it doesn't look to be as improved as it should be. The master league is tired and the "be a pro" type feature looks to be lacking as well. To me it makes no difference if full editing is back since the shitty master league mode is back.
Congrats to Howard Stern and congrats to Beth Stern as well. The two got married and I forgot to blog about it. It's good to hear the show back on the air this week as well live instead of best of programming.

More Label Stuff
Well it looks as if Kidd Chris and Life in general receive more coverage from me than anything else. Video games come in 3rd. It was interesting to go back and read some of the old ones. Had I not deleted some of the older ones, I'd be well on my way to 600 posts by now.

Even more coach pranks
Voice sounds familiar. Asking Al Groh if he's ever picked his nose and wiped it on the ball is classic.
Transcript of the USC Prank Calls and more
Courtesy of CBS Sportsline (This is in addition to the audio portion)
The average college coach's conference call doesn't usually include questions about condoms and players having sex with celebrities. This one will go down as part of the run-up to the Ohio State-USC game.
Unfortunately, a random low-life prankster was able to engage USC's Pete Carroll for 1½ minutes with bawdy questions Tuesday afternoon during a media call to preview Saturday's game with No. 5 Ohio State.
A questioner identifying himself and his affiliation as "Steve Marsh, uh, College Blog" asked Carroll: "Would you ever reward your players with sex with Britney Spears or the Jonas Brothers?"
Carroll had trouble understanding the question after it was repeated three times. "Marsh" then said, "Coach just answer the question."
Carroll: "I can't understand what you're saying, dude. "
"Marsh": "Coach, answer the question."
Carroll: "I'm not answering something ... I can't understand what you're saying, dude. What are you saying about Britney Spears?
"Marsh": "Would you ever reward your players with a date with her?"
Carroll: "I'm sorry I couldn't understand what you were saying. That's really not in my realm of control here, but of course I wouldn't. I wouldn't have anything to do with that. I'm not even addressing the answer any more than that."
"Marsh": "You have a good day coach."
Carroll: "You bet." (laughing)
"Marsh": "Coach, I've got a follow-up. What about trading in some of your players for, you know, the Trojan condoms? You ever think about (that)?"
Carroll: "Will somebody screen this frickin' call guys, let's go."
"Marsh": "Coach, one more question ..."
Carroll: "Dude, I'm off this one. Thanks a lot, Ohio State. That was a great job there."
"Marsh": (laughing in the background) "He hung up on me."
A moderator told media to stay on the call but returned a few minutes to say it had ended.
And more on the pranks
I'm a blogger and I find this hillarious. Nice job Fellas!!!

Kidd Chris Nation

I meant to blog about this earlier but didn't. The official website of the Kidd Chris Show has a map of the United States with Kidd Chris written across it. I'm not sure what this means, but I hope it means what I think it does. I hope it means that the whole United States and not just Philly, Sacramento, and San Antonio will get to hear the greatest show on Earth. I'm hoping Sirius or XM but I have no idea. I posted a screencap above. Here's hoping we hear something soon.

NASCAR + Conference Calls=Hillarity
While reading some of the sports blogs I read daily, I came across this. It sounds like the Cream Team, and if it is the Cream Team, then that means Kidd Chris and the boys are doing well. I hope we hear something soon.
