Technology Predictions for 2009

Here's a few more predictions for 2009 for products other than gaming consoles

Based on the success of the IPhone, we will see either a Zune Phone or Zune software on Windows Mobile Devices in 2009.

Speaking of the IPhone, I predict we'll see an IPhone Nano released by Apple later this year, as well as a 32gb version and perhaps a 64gb version as well. No guess on pricing for the larger models, but I'd guess $99 for the IPhone Nano with a new 2 year contract. I predict big things for the IPhone this year. I think we'll see apps that will amaze us after the developers have had more time. We will see copy and paste on the IPhone in 2009 as well as being able to download music with a 3G connection.

Microsoft's new OS to replace Vista will be as big a failure as Vista in consumers' eyes. People are tired of gimmicks and just want an OS that works.

Apple will release a cheap desktop as well as a cheaper laptop to combat people's frustrations with Vista and the new OS. I'd love an Apple, but can't afford one right now so this would be right up my alley as I've grown tired of Windows.

We'll continue to see other companies try to equal the success of the IPhone, but none can come close to the greatest piece of technology that is the IPhone.
