Ron Paul wins Straw Poll

Link

My Favorite Republican (if you can even call him that) wins the Straw Poll at the annual Conservative PAC dinner.  It's supposedly a good indicator for who the republicans will run in the Presidential election.  I've voted for Mr. Paul every chance I get and he's the most common sense politician ever.  Does he stand a chance in the Republican Hierchy?  I don't think so, but it's good to see him get some publicity.  If he runs, I'll be voting for him again, and if he wins the Republican nomination (a guy can dream can't he), I'll vote for a Republican for the White House for the first time in a looong time.

The Republicans will never let him get the nomination. Never. He's not like them. He actually gives 2 shits about fiscal responsibility. The Republicans talk like they do now that the Dems are in charge, but don't forget what it was like when the Repubs had control. The 2 party system sucks but it ain't going away. This country is so divided now that all each side does is blame the other side for whatever is going wrong at the time. It's a huge mess and I don't see it getting better any time soon.

Nope. I find it laughable that Ron Paul classifies himself as a Republican. I guess he did it just to get elected in Texas. I do remember what it was like when the Republicans were in charge. It was just as bad if not worse than now. I'll agree that the 2 party system sucks, and it's not ever going to get better. We need a valid 3rd party to get a viable candidate that will shake the foundations of political thought in America. I know that ain't happening with a Libertarian candidate, so I'm waiting for another one to step up and grab the reins.
