So How did Dave Do on his 2009 Resolutions and Hopes for 2009

New Year's Resolutions

Well everyone has to have some New Year's Resolution and here's mine. We'll look back on these on December 31st 2009 to see how I did

1. Quit Smoking-The hardest thing I've ever done in my life. I'm way down from what I used to smoke, but I need to stop completely, and I haven't been able to do it so far.

2. Lose Some Weight-I've been back on Slimfast for the last 3 days. I'd like to lose 40 lbs or so and I'm really going to work on it. I was well on my way in the first couple of months of 2008, but that got all screwed up.

3. Game online more. I've been very lax with playing online with friends and I need to get back into it. I haven't really touched Gears of War 2 much and haven't played with Quint in ages. Hopefully MLB09 will change that.

1. Thank God Almighty, I'm finally done with cigarettes.  I had smoked for over 20 years and my lungs are finally good again.  I hope I never pick up another one.

2. Done and Done.  I'm down 50 lbs from July.  It's been a rough road, but I'm doing so much better and feeling so much better.

3. A big negatory.  I've had less time in 2009 than I did in any year past to game online.

4 and 5.  I pretty much stopped doing so many reviews around the first of the year.  I tightened up my budget and I'm proud to say the last app I bought was Peggle a long time ago.

So Two out of Five.  Not so good.

Here's a few things I hope happen in 2009.

Personal
I hope I can continue to blog daily or as close to daily as possible.  

Done.  There's been a few times where I've failed a bit, but otherwise lots of posts this year

I hope I remain as happy as I am right now in my personal life for the rest of my life

Dead Wrong.  I'm much happier now than I was at this time last year.  My divorce is final and I'm well on my way to marrying the most wonderful woman in the world and adopting a son.  Life probably couldn't be better than now.  

I hope I can keep my job since the economy is so bad right now

Sports
I hope the Vols make it to the Elite Eight or farther in the NCAA tourney. We have the talent, it's just a question of getting there. (nope)
I hope the Titans do well in the playoffs. I'd love to see a Superbowl with the Titans involved. (nope)
I hope the football Vols are improved in 2009. I hope Lane and Monte take the SEC by storm. (Well pretty close.  They did rather well in 2009)

I hope West Ham avoids relegation and I hope Celtic wins the Scottish Prem again.
I hope MLS continues it's upward spiral that it started in 2008. I hope to see even more stars make their way over from Europe.  (West Ham did stay up but Celtic didn't win )

Other
I hope Kidd Chris makes his way back to radio in 2009. He's been missed and I hope he makes it back this year. (Yes!!! Yes !! and Yes!!).  He made it back to radio in Portland in late 2009 and did an internet Show from May till October)
I hope the Stern Show is better in 2009 than it was in 2008. (Don't know, didn't listen)
I hope Grey's Anatomy gets better in 2009 than it was in 2008 and I hope Life on Mars survives to see season 2. (nope and nope)
