Doing a Will

While signing up for benefits at work tonight, I figured it was probably time for me to do a will.  I don't think I'd ever done one before so it was a learning experience.

I of course, left my eyes to Stevie Wonder and one of my arms to the drummer for Def Leppard.  Kidding of course.  It's an eye opener to take stock of what you have, and apparently I don't have much.  Short of some kitties, the crappiest car ever to grace the earth, two bunnies, and a bunch of junk, I really have nothing.  It's kind of sad in a way.  I also think I'll check the organ donation box on the back of my license as well.  I'm not sure there's anything inside me that's worth passing onto anyone else, but I'll at least get the good feeling of maybe making a difference.  Here's a list of what's donatable (at least according to organdonor.gov)
kidneys- Relatively healthy most of my life.  I'd say they're ok

heart- thanks to my love of cigarettes, I'd guess no go.

lungs- See Heart

liver- probably ok.  I think the liver can fix itself

pancreas- with my family history of dia-beet-us.  I kind of doubt it.

intestines- I'll donate my guts to someone who has none.  I can think of a few people, but I won't list them here

Corneas- To Stevie Wonder of course.

the middle ear -considering the amount of AC/DC and other loud rock bands I've listened to, I kind of doubt this is possible.

skin- lots of it.  I'm sure I could make several outfits for the guy from Silence of the Lambs

heart valves- Smoking

bone- ok, I guess so

veins- no idea this was even possible

Seriously, I'd prefer that all of the above that can be donated go to kids.  I believe the children are our future.  Teach them well and let them lead the way.
