2009 Entertainment of the Year

Best Music of 2009
Them Crooked Vultures
The Beatles Remastered

Best Movies of 2009
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Other than that, I can't think of anything else worth a damn I saw that came out in 2009, but I'm not the biggest movie-goer in history.

I won't go into the depth that Quint did over at Memory Almost Full, but here's my games of the year for 2009

Sports Game of the Year
FIFA10, Runner up MLB The Show
No series has made the complete turnaround that FIFA has in it's history.  FIFA used to be utter crap but is now the crown jewel in EA's sports lineup at least as far as I'm concerned.  FIFA has my attention from the time it comes out till it's time to trade it in for the new one.

Shooter of the Year
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Hands down the best shooter I've played in a long time.

Multiplayer Game of the Year
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Nothing is better online than COD.  It's turned an admittedly non multiplayer gamer into an addicted MP gamer.

Open World Game of the Year
Tie between Red Faction Guerilla and Infamous
Both of them came out around the same time and I'm addicted to both.

Game of the Year
Uncharted 2
This game is simply put the reason to own a PS3.  Great multiplayer and a story with more twists and turns than a country road.  I covered it in my review a month or so ago, but needless to say, this one stuck with me above all others.  I look forward to Uncharted 3 in 2011 hopefully.

Well there you have it.  My list of the top games of the year.  Admittedly, I've played less games this year than in any year past, but the games I did play were mostly excellent.
