I made the mistake of buying Prototype thinking it might be as fun as inFamous. Boy was I wrong. There are so many things that are fundamentally wrong with this game ,I don't even know where to begin. First off, the controls are a step above horrid. What developer places both the run and the evade on the same button (R Trigger)? The controls are among the wonkiest I think I've ever seen for a video game. There's no cohesive story line and objectives in a missions are unclear. I can appreciate a bit of mystery surrounding objectives, but at least give me a hint or a clue about what I'm supposed to do to solve a mission. The difficulty is ridiculous at the beginning of the game. You're given the task of defeating monsters without having any real weaponry to back it up. You have zero powers other than punching and the ability to run up walls (which these monsters can chase you up the wall so that's null and void). Anyways, I truly wish I hadn't bought this game and it's gone up on Craigslist to try and recoup at least some of my money for it. I bought it with trade credit, so I'm not out much cash, but it still hurts to take a bath on a game that you thought would be decent.
Next up was Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings for the PS2. Horrid graphics and weird controls truly hampered this game. Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb was better on the XBOX. If you can find that one, buy it, and stay far away from Staff of Kings. I'm hearing from others that it's no better on the Wii than on the PS2. This one was packaged up and sent back to Gamefly about two hours after opening it.
I went this morning and rented Tiger Woods 10 or 2010 or whatever the hell it's called. I hope it can save a truly crap week of gaming for me thus far.

Thanks for the warning about SoK. I was fence-sitting that one.
Also, I don't know if you've seen, but Batman: Arkham Asylum is apparently delayed indefinitely.
The wii version is really short. According to some web forums it's really short but worth a rental.
That sucks about batman as well. It didn't fare so well at e3 so I'd guess that is the reasoning
I am surprised that you haven't checked out Red Faction: Guerrilla. Seems right up your alley.
Jim I didn't know it was out yet. I may need to go rent that tomorrow.
Yeah, it's getting almost unanimous rave reviews. Thought you would be all over it.
