I finished up the first two seasons of Rescue Me and it's brilliant as far as I'm concerned. Just when I think Poor Tommy Gavin can't get himself into more stuff, he goes and does it. It's a heartbreaking series to say the very least. Seeing Tommy go through losing his kids, alcoholism, stuff with Sheila, the ghost stuff, and having to bury his only son is depressing stuff. I honestly didn't feel that the show would be as deep as it is before viewing the first episode, but I've been really surprised. My favorite character thus far is Jimmy simply due to his deep story lines and constant sorrow. Poor Jimmie, much like Tommy can't seem to catch a break. I just went and picked up the third season at Blockbuster, so I'll be sure and post my impressions on that. Rescue Me is not as good as I thought it would be, it's much better and I look forward to being caught up completely on it soon.
