Developer: PopCap
Price $4.99
Rating- hands down one of the best games on the App Store. Definite Buy
I was only recently introduced to the world of Peggle. I'd heard countless numbers of Gaming podcasts go on and on about Peggle, so when it hit the XBOX360, I spent $10 and bought it and fell in love with the game. It was only natural that I'd buy the IPhone version upon it's release. The big question to me before release was how much is this gonna set me back? I knew the XBLA price was $10, the DS price was $35, and the PC price was around $20 or so. I fully expected a $20 or $10 price point so imagine my surprise when I read it was only going to be $4.99. I bought it immediately and if I were Catholic, I'd almost feel the need to go confess to a priest that I just stole Peggle from PopCap.
The game is vintage Peggle complete with Ode to Joy and all the interesting characters and powerups that made the PC and 360 versions so successful. There's an adventure mode, a challenge mode, and a duel mode for IPhone/IPod Touch passing. I've read a few app reviews this morning for the game and it appears the only complaint is that the game has no background music. The touch screen controls are very responsive and the graphics are exceptional as well. This game is a steal at $4.99 and anyone who has an IPhone or an IPod Touch should go ahead and pick it up now and prepare to be hooked, especially if you've never played Peggle before. The holy trio of PopCap games is now complete for me as Peggle joins Bejeweled and Bookworm. These three games will never leave my IPhone. Also as side note, I have to say that it's amazing that PopCap put this game out at $5. With other developers releasing games at $10 and over, it's nice to see a developer who recognizes that the impulse purchase is the best purchase of all. $5 for Peggle is an impulse purchase anyone should make.

Nobody is releasing games over $10 - the app store has ten dollars set as a price cap.
Had to delete the other comment since the web link didn't show up correctly. I was referring to the rumored $19.99 premium gaming store that is supposedly being setup by Apple. Google "premium gaming store IPhone" and the results should pop up.
