24 5AM-6AM (Warning Spoilers!!)

Tonight's 24 was another good episode which leads up to the two hour season finale next week.

I won't recap since I know anyone coming across this blog will already have seen the episode, but here are a few high points (at least in my mind) and some predictions as well.

Aaron calling Ethan to find out about the recording.  Aaron is and always has been one of my favorite characters and yet again, we see him do the noble and just thing.  I just hope we get to see Aaron in Season 8 as one of the members of the secret service guarding the president.  I think it would be fitting to allow the only character other than Jack Bauer to appear in each of the seasons to finish up the run (if in fact season 8 is the last).  I love the fact that Ethan has made his way back as well, and I also love the fact that dirtbag Olivia is going to get what's coming to her next week.

The scene between Tony and Jack was brutal, but not as brutal as I figured it would be.  The question now is if Tony will yet again turn to the side of the good to help Jack save Kim one last time?  You just had to know that the married couple in the airport were baddies from the get-go.  Jack and company have backed the terrorists into the corner and they'll come out swinging with Kim's abduction.  By watching the preview, it appears that Jack is going along with the plan to break Tony out.  I've read a few blogs and entertainment sites tonight bitching about Kim having to be saved again, but it's not such a bad thing as far as I'm concerned.  The same people bitching knew that Kim is the only one who can save Jack and we knew it was coming to this.

Did anyone else notice the look that the muslim cleric gave Jack.  Jack Bauer has suddenly become "friend" and "protector" of the Muslim people.  That was a good scene.

A Few Predictions for the finale

I predict that Chloe and Janice will get into a fistfight next week and hopefully Chloe takes her down with her bare hands and strangles her with a CTU power cord.  I do not want Janice back for Season 8 at all.

From watching the preview and seeing Jack laid out on some type of medical table, I'm guessing that the stem cell procedure will take place, either that or Tony has an antidote for the virus.  Either way, I feel that Jack is ending day 7 healthy again.

I don't think Kim will die (but then again, I've been wrong on most everything), but I do think things will be really tense for the greater part of two hours.  I also look forward to seeing the look on Jack's face when he finds out about Teri.  It's been a long time since we've seen Jack smile, and I'd guess that will make him smile.  I hope that Kim doesn't die and we get to see both Kim and Teri in Season 8. We've seen mad Jack, sick Jack, angry Jack, and it would be really nice to see doting grandpa Jack as well.

Olivia will be lead away in handcuffs screaming and the collective audience of 24 will be pleased.  It's always nice when a character gets their just desserts.

I think Tony gets away and a large portion of Season 8 will be Jack trapping him and finding out the rest of the members of the Ultimate Board of Terror.  He and Not Michelle will escape together and plan something horrid (or could Tony turn good again to help find Kim?)

Renee will find someone who cares about Larry's death (at least I think she will).

I'll post a bit more about it after I watch the episode a 2nd time and am not so tired, but for now, great episode and the finale is shaping up to be quite good for Season 7.  Unless the wheels just fall off the wagon, this has been my 2nd favorite season of the show.
