Tuberville Resigns at Auburn

Tommy Tuberville steps down at Auburn after a tumultuous season in which he finished 5-7. Tuberville had a perfect season in 2004 and pretty much owned Bama for a large portion of the time he was at Auburn.  He joins Sylvester Croom and Phillip Fulmer as the odd men out in the SEC.  Auburn has already reached out to Mike Leach.  I'd imagine they'll place a call to Brian Kelly as well.  I'd venture that Tubs will be back on the sidelines somewhere next year.  Just like Fulmer, his offensive coordinator got him an early unemployment check.  One thing is for sure, there will be big changes in the SEC in 2009.
