I've become a huge fan of RSS in the last year or so. I've discovered that I can read the majority of the internet sites I read via one program, thus cutting down on time spent surfing. Thanks to Newstand, I've cut my internet surfing time more than in half. It's a bit pricey compared to the other news readers on the App Store, but it's very well down.
There are a variety of ways to get your content into Newsreader. You can create a bloglines account, import your OPML file, or just add feeds individually. Newsreader is very fast and I've noticed little to no redundancy in feeds and articles that I've seen in other programs. It's very easy to add feeds individually, although I wish there were a way to have it autosort feeds by name, even after you've added feeds individually. It automatically adds new feeds to the bottom.
With Newstand, you can set your preview of articles to a set number of lines and open them right in the program. Once opened, you can even open them a step further in the Safari Browser. It's easy to flag an article as well as email articles to yourself and family and friends. There's a landscape view which is a novelty and makes each of your feeds look like a newspaper, but it's not very practical at least in my opinion and isn't usable.
Newstand is a great program and it's revolutionized RSS at least in my mind. The app is a bit pricey, but it works well and does everything I need it to do.
Score 4/5
