Series Finale of the Shield Tonight

Tonight will be a sad night at my house at least. The Shield runs it's 90 minute series finale tonight and I'll miss it like no other show I've ever watched. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Sopranos along with some other shows that are gone, but the Shield is special. The Shield is perhaps the only show on television that's gotten better each year unlike other shows which seem to worsen with age. It sucks to know that we'll never see Vic Mackey again. The Shield should go down in television history as the only show to push the limits of cable television without being on one of the pay channels. I've read countless articles that said the Shield would have been better had it been on HBO or Showtime, but I feel that it would have cheapened it somehow. I'll miss Vic and the crew as well as all the other characters in the show. It's truly a sad day.
