Government Bailout

As of yet, there's no government bailout, and for that I'm thankful. I may just be a bitter old man, but isn't it the fault of the banks and various financial institutions that they've failed? I pay my bills and settle up with people, why shouldn't they? President Bush can say whatever he'd like about financial ruin and a bad economy, but I'm a big fan of FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. If you own the debt, own the responsibility of paying it back. If I didn't pay my bills, my cable, internet, phone, and cell phone would be cut off, why aren't these big businesses held to the same standards?
