Working morning shift and other thoughts

While checking the logs for the blog, I noticed I had a visitor from Tel Aviv Israel. Good afternoon and Shalom to you kind person. I had to work morning shift today and tomorrow. I don't sleep real well when I
have to do mornings because I constantly feel like I'll oversleep. I woke up
about 2am and was up for the duration after finally falling to sleep about 10pm.
I wrote my wife a letter which I'll probably never give her, but it was at the
very least therapeutic for me to get my thoughts down on paper.

I'm truly worried about Dad and hope and pray that the cancer isn't back, but if
it is, I'll handle it the same way I did the first time. I'll be with him
whenever I can and if he loses his hair, I'll shave my head again just like I
did when he had cancer before. I'm an ugly fellow to begin with, so what
difference does hair make? My pops is one of the best men I know, and while I
don't believe in the term "hero", he's as close to one as there is for me.

For those readers in Knoxville and surrounding areas, I'm considering having a
small party at my house on April 1st or the weekend before to commemorate
being arrested for DUI without DUI. For the new readers, last April 1st I was
arrested on suspicion of DUI but had nothing to drink. A big lawyer bill, jail
stay, and blood test later, my blood came back 0.00 and I was exonerated.
For the record, there will be booze there, but I ask that no one
drive afterwards as I'd hate to have anyone share my anniversary

That's all for today and I'd like to start a new tradition on the blog: that
being a quote of the day. Today's quote comes from the movie Shawshank Redemption. "Get Busy Livin, or get Get Busy Dyin". I plan on getting busy living. Thanks for reading everyone. Sorry for the formatting issue. I typed this up earlier today and it wasn't formatted like that.

Hey Dave, hang in there, partner. Writing a letter is a good idea. You don't have to give it to her; as you say, just writing it can be good therapy.

Got you and your family in my thoughts, buddy!
