Ashley finally got her scooter that she's been looking for. It's a
1997 Honda Elite and she's had a blast with it so far. We got another
scooter which doesn't run, so we'll be using it for parts for hers. I
really want a motorcycle to learn on and right now I'm looking at a
Honda Rebel that's 250cc. I want something light, and not real
expensive just to be on the safe side. With a longer commute to work
coming up in a few weeks, I'm looking for ways to conserve gas, and a
motorcycle is one of the best ways. Can anyone out there on the
intertubes recommend a smallish motorcycle for a noob like me to learn
on? I'd sure appreciate the help.

This is Barb...I have to say it "be careful" motorcycles make me NERVOUS....I am not as worried about Ashley- since she moves at a slower speed ;)
Oh my gosh you should see her on it though. It's the cutest thing ever. She's wanted one since before she and I started dating and could never find a great one at a great price. I give her about a day or two after I learn to ride and she'll be tearing down the ride on the motorcycle.
