Ashley's Tip of the Day!

It's hard to believe, but tomorrow is my Mom's birthday. Yes, she gets "the shaft" with a lot of "this is for Christmas AND your birthday" presents. But it's always nice to be able to buy her a gift for 50-75% off!

This is the time of year to finish your Christmas shopping and holiday decoration buying. That roll of wrapping paper that you bought on December 23rd last year for $4/roll is now on sale for $1/roll. Don't you feel silly now? Buy all the chocolate Santas you want to. Then put them in the freezer, because I don't care how cheap they were, you can't blow your New Year's Resolutions on chocolate Santas. But some time between now and the day after Valentine's Day (when you stock up on chocolate hearts), when you want to bite someone's head off, make it Mr. Frozen St. Nick. Or use him in recipes. Either way, he's still yummy.
Repeat on February 15 and April 5.

Don't try to gift chocolate that has been frozen for a year. It has a funny color and everyone will know what a cheap-o we've turned you into.
