Sorry to steal the title of Motley Crue's Greatest hits, but it has been a decent decade. If you thought my year in review was bad, check this out. There are even more holes in the decade review, than in the yearly review. I've decided to focus on one or two events from that year instead of trying to list lots of stuff.
2000- A collective sigh of relief as everyone's computer doesn't go up in smoke at the stroke of midnight and McDonalds can still make french fries. Fat asses everywhere rejoice.
2001-Terrorist effers fly planes into the World Trade Center, marking one of the worst tragedies in US History.
We invade Afghanistan.
Dave gets married.
2002-The Catholic Church tries to hide the fact that Priests molested children.
2003-Dubya leads us into Iraq on false pretenses. Dave turns 30!!
2004-Kerry Versus Bush- I voted Libertarian. Gay Marriage becomes legal in Massachusetts.
2005-Hurricane Katrina
High Gas Prices
More Civil Liberties injustice as it was found out that Dubya authorized the NSA to eavesdrop on conversations without a court order.
2006-Democrats seize control of the house and Senate. Dubya's Approval rating plummets
2007-Blackwater and the Presidential race for 2008 kicks into high gear
2008-Dave is seperated
April- Dave finds Ashley, falls in love, and gains a great kid in Andrew
June- A tree falls on Ashley's house. We move in together!!
Obama is elected President
2009 Barack Obama is sworn in
July-Dave proposes to Ashley, she ACCEPTS
Sept-Dave moves in with Ashley
Nov-Divorce is final
All in all, not a bad decade for me, but a pretty terrible one for our country. Here's hoping 2010-2019 is much better for the US. I know it's gonna be good for me!!!!
