24 4AM-5AM Review (Spoilers Ahead)

This hour was very much a transition show towards the final 3 hours I believe.  There was at least one big event that happened, and several more smaller events that I'm sure will lead to bigger events before the end of the season.  Scroll down for spoilers and more

First of all Jonas Hodges is dead.  I'd have loved to have seen him ride off into the sunset with wife and daughter in tow, but sadly he didn't make it thanks to a well placed car bomb.  Now the question is did Olivia's hitman do it or did someone else have it done?  From the previews for next week, it looks as if someone from the justice department is looking for Olivia, so I'd guess that even though she didn't transfer the funds, the hitman went ahead with the operation.  I'm sure I'm not alone in hoping that goes down and we never have to see her again (or at least for the remainder of season 7 and season 8).  I'm hoping that her scheming has finally gotten the best of her.  She will go down in 24 history for having been involved in the longest sex scene in show history with her friendly Washington reporter.

Jack's getting worse and now Chloe knows as well.
The scene between Jack and Chloe was very emotional.  For a long time, I think that Chloe viewed Jack in a romantic way but now I feel that she views him in more of a fatherly way.  Jack has always been there for Chloe and Chloe was always there for Jack (even when he was on the run).  The two of them need each other in the same way a parent needs a child and vice versa.  I want nothing less than 24 episodes next season for Chloe.  She's one of my favorite characters and she's been severely missed this year.

I loved the line from Janice about racial profiling, the response from Jack, and the obvious stupid glance from Janice.  It was also a bit touching to see Jack apologize to the Imam.  We haven't seen Jack apologize much and it was nice to see him actually feel sorry for his actions.

Tony gets worse from week to week.  It looks as if he'll get his before the end of the season if the promo for next week  is correct.

As for predictions
I'm not really sure where the last 3 hours of Season 7 will take us.  We still don't know the remainder of the bad folks and we still don't know why Tony is doing this.  I know I've made the argument in the past that Logan is the end game for Tony, but now I'm not really sure.  Is Tony doing this in retaliation for Michelle? It's rather obvious that he's moved on. Is he doing it as a vendetta against the government? Why did he help so much for most of the season? I hope these questions are answered before the finale and If the writers try to make Tony good again, then that will be one too many jumps back and forth across the fence, at least to me.  We will see Kim again, but in what capacity?  I'm almost sure the stem cell stuff will take place, but I'd venture a guess that Tony will somehow get to Kim and Jack will have to rescue her.  I think if Jack and Renee and company take down the bomb next week or in hour one of the two hour season finale, that Tony will seek out revenge against Jack, and perhaps Kim will be the target.  Oh well, 3 hours to go.  Here's hoping Jack is cured, Tony is still bad, and Olivia is in a cell in the White House before day 7 is up.
