I've made a vow after the cancellation of Life on Mars, Dirty Sexy Money, and other shows I enjoyed by ABC not to watch any new shows on ABC. It appears that the decision is working out great (at least for me) Right now, Castle, The Unusuals, and Cupid are all either being canceled or close to cancellation as of this writing. Why even put on new shows is my question if you're not going to allow them to build an audience?. This is the precise reason that I'd like to see American network TV move to more a british format. Make each season of a show run 13 episodes, and allow those 13 episodes to run uninterrupted. If the ratings at the end of the 13 week run are good, renew it for next season, if not, cancel it then. Why let viewers get interested in a show then cut it off? I don't understand it. ABC seems to have a quicker hook than Muhammed Ali and it's showing.
