Catching up on some shows not named 24(Grey's, 30 Rock, Southland)

Grey's way pretty good on Thursday night.  I'm not going into great diatribes as I once did on the shows I watch, but suffice to say I think Grey's Anatomy is getting ready to get really interesting.  I think George and Izzie are as good as gone.  Will George follow Owen Hunt's path to the military?  It's been rumored for quite sometime and I feel that he's more than likely leaving Grey's.  As I said the first time Hector Elizondo stepped into Seattle Grace, it's damn good to see him back in a hospital.  Chicago Hope was one of my all time favorite shows and I truly wish he'd catch on permenantly in some fashion at Seattle Grace.  If you've been reading Ausiello at all, then you know that this season's finale will be "life changing" according to Shonda Rimes.  I'd guess that we'll see all the characters from Grey's affected by the season finale in one way or another. I'm glad that Grey's is finally back. The first 3/4 of the season was shit as far as I'm concerned, and I'm glad to see the show back on track.

What else can be said about 30 Rock besides it's brilliant television.  It looks as though we've seen the last of Selma Hayek's character since she and Jack decided to end things.  Now that I know that 30 Rock will be back next season, I can breathe easily since the show's fate isn't hanging in the balance (unlike the Unit)

The third episode of Southland was the best yet.  Instead of trying to focus on a multitude of characters, the show's writers decided to focus on the two main characters and the result was a much better show.  I love the grittiness of it and the backstory of the two leads.  The ratings fell off a bit since Private Practice was back from re-run land.  I just hope Southland draws enough viewers to make it to season 2.  You know me though, I love cop shows, so I'll probably watch till the bitter end.

digg me!!!
