Working for a television station, I've heard practically every soundbite relating to Obama's inauguration and the one that cracks me up most is "It's a once in a lifetime event". I certainly hope it's not a "once in a lifetime event" for anyone under the age of 50. I can understand the excitement and the enthusiasm, but let's hope this isn't the "once in a lifetime" that an African American or someone of color ascends to the highest office in the land.
