IPhone App Review- UNO

Price-$7.99
Developer-Gameloft

UNO is perhaps still my favorite card game.  I played so much UNO when I was a kid that I wore out several sets of cards.  I owned the PC version of UNO, then the 360 version, and now the IPhone version.  So how does it stack up to the 360 version?

First off the price.  It's a bit more than I'm used to paying for an IPhone App, but I do love me some UNO, so I shelled out the money for it.  It's pricey for sure.  I think the IPhone app sweet spot is from $1-$5 and anything over that is a bit more than an impulse buy.  It's been out for a few weeks, but I only purchased it a few days ago.  Is it worth the $8?  I don't think so, despite the fact that it offers local and online multiplayer.

The gameplay is quite fun despite the price and the multiplayer is good as well.  The AI presents a challenge even on it's lowest level.  The graphics are well done for an IPhone game.

Bottom Line
Despite the high price, UNO is a great app and a worthy time waster.  I love the game of UNO and it's very true to the original game.

4/5
