I say good for Ron Paul. Thank you for not selling out your voters to the bullshit machine that our electoral system has become. McCain had approached Paul about supporting him for President, but thankfully Mr. Paul declined and instead threw his support behind four candidates: Green Party nominee Cynthia McKinney, Libertarian Party nominee Bob Barr, independent candidate Ralph Nader and Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin. This is one of my favorite lines from the article.
"I did not want to run people's lives. I did not want to run the economy and I did not want to run the world. I didn't have the authority to do it, and I didn't have the Constitution behind me to do it,"
"I've come to the conclusion, after having spent many years in politics, is that our presidential elections turn out to be more of a charade than anything else, and I think that is true today. It is a charade,".
I voted for Ron Paul in the primaries and would gladly vote for him again. What a revolutionary and strong thinker. It's almost impossible to believe that he's still in Congress and still stepping out on his own, challenging the status quo.
